Parent volunteers

Dear Parents,

After the first sessions of parental involvement  I am glad to say that I am very pleased with feedback received so far.  Please keep sending your feedback as this can only help us to grow and make things better for the children in class as well as for you at home.

We have approached the SMT with a request to have a roster of parent volunteers to come to class even on days when we will not have parental involvement.  This is so that you can be more exposed to this new system.

Let me explain what this all means:

We will have one parent per time to come and assist in class (like you did during the parental involvement).  The time will be between 7.50 and 10.15 ish.   You will be manning one of the stations and the children will be coming to ‘work’ with you on the station.  This way you will have a better understanding of what it all entails as you will start with us from Circle Time, going on to Ground Work to Cork Work Time.  During the parental involvement sessions, Circle Time and Ground Work are missed since Ms Marguerite is gathering you all for a short sharing session.

Therefore I would like to start compiling a list of when people can come and offer some of their time in class.  Please either give me a day during the week when you will be available or a specific date (if you need to book time off from work).  I will work around your availability and get back to you with the date you can join us in class.
