Christmas concert and costumes

Dear all,

Today Ms Steffi and I went to view costumes for our Christmas Concert.

Both junior 1 classes will be working on the same theme “Meraki” and we will be using “The Coat of Many Colours” as our topic.

This not only links the Bible story of Joseph and his coat of many colours but also the real life story of Dolly Parton’s childhood.  Both Joseph and Dolly had big dreams and they always did things from their heart.  Very few people know the real story behind Dolly and how she made her dreams come true and to this day she uses the money she makes from her music to go towards a foundation that educates poor children.  We will obviously focus on the aspect of “Every dream can come true if one works hard for it”.

We have now chosen the costumes and in the coming days we will be trying them out on the children and assigning roles.  We will measure the costumes out and if any alterations need to be done, the place we are renting from will do the alterations for us.  Therefore we would like to ask you once again to let us know if your child Will Not be taking part in the concert on the 10th December.  If I do not hear from you I assume they are taking part and I will rent out the costume.  Please let us know by Friday 11th November.  The hiring of the costume will be Euro 10.  Therefore if your child IS taking part you can send in the money in an envelop marked with your child’s name and costume on the front.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.  Thank you.
